Fabricated and Shipped via Barge (1) FCC Fractionator Column, 22’ in diameter x 149.83’ tangent-to-tangent, 516-70 Carbon Steel w/410S Clad

AT&V's fabrication shop plays a part in space history.

AT&V helped NASA with the construction and transportation of a test cell diffuser that was installed in the A-3 Test Stand at NASA’s John C. Stennis Space Center. The A-3 Test Stand was used to test the J-2X engine for the Constellation Program.  The test cell diffuser was fabricated at the Lucedale, Mississippi facility and transported by barge to its end location. AT&V also helped install the LOX and liquid hydrogen tanks on top of the stand. Construction started in 2009 and was completed in 2011.
